====== Rules Changes ====== This page consolidates any changes to the Rules between events. ===== After Event 11 ===== * Improved immunity to TOXIC [[Conditions]] for non-organic species in line with the increasing integration of Keywords, specifically the [[species:Coronite]] and [[species:Lithos]] species - these species now are immune to Toxic conditions that don't share their Gaseous, Energy Being or Mineral keywords or the Universal keyword (allowing us to create mineral or gas-specific toxins). Similarly improved the Toxin immunity of the [[species:Wrathian]] species, making them have near-total immunity to toxins, even Universal ones. * Clarified some effects on [[Glowfish Toxin]] that had been updated on the substance stickers but not on the wiki. Glowfish Toxin now only has its ability to act on 0 hits on Limbs, not the Torso or Head. Also clarified that it has no benefit to characters with Global Body Hits. ===== After Event 10 ===== * Added [[Components & Installations]] as a system to do creative Engineering in the field at events. * Made some changes to [[Mods]], so that they can now technically be applied to any item, but may not have an effect. Adjusted the cost progression of Mods and Maintenance on the [[Devices]] page. Improved the wiki text around Engineers and Physicians. * Added and clarified some [[card draw system#additional mechanics]] that affect [[card_draw_system|Card Draw Actions]] - Automatic Successes, Redraws and Complications. * **Tulaki Overhaul** - Major additions to the [[species:Tulaki]] species page. * Physrep requirements (trappings) for Serpentines reduced. Some optional trappings added. * Megasaurians no longer have a CP penalty for Professional Skills. * [[Megasaurian Environmental Nano-treatment]] can now be applied by Dominion Life Scientists to remove or restore a Megasaurian's bulky costume in play at events. * [[Devotion Skills#Priestly Devotion]] now grants both a Minor and a Major Ceremony with each rank. * [[Devotion Skills#Ceremonies]] have been divided into [[Devotion Skills#Minor Ceremonies]], which are less powerful but faster, and [[Devotion Skills#Major Ceremonies]], which are more powerful but take more time and use more Ritual Herbs to perform. * Ceremony list has been expanded to 8 each of Minor and Major Ceremonies. * Made some changes to [[Nanodeck]] programs. Cooldown time reduced to 1 minute, added range changes to the Survey, Sample & Sustain programs, and added the Lockdown Advanced Program. * Armour - [[combat_skills#Heavy Armour Training]] reduced to 1CP. Added the [[game_items#armour|Assault Armour]] class. * Heavy Energy Weapons - now shoot for STRIKE by default, even when unlammied. [[mods#energy_weapons|Energy Weapon Mods]] - Force Bolt now available to other energy weapons, new Heavy Energy Weapon mods added. * [[Mods#Armour|Deflection Generator]] - Added the restriction of not being able to attack or use abilities while it is active. Also don't parry projectiles because it's super dangerous. * Added the [[calls_effects#root_duration|ROOT]] call. * Changed some effects of [[Vikaas Aquerna Psionic Paths|Vikaas Aquerna Psionic Powers]] to fit into the Card Draw System better. * Added the ability to quickly repair [[devices#sunder_broken_and_repair|Broken]] devices with a Psi Crystal Mod to the Rank 2 [[elysian psionic paths|Psionic Resonance]] power. * Cost reduction on some [[elysian psionic paths|Resonant Blade]] powers. ===== After Event 5 ===== * Codified [[Conditions]] into a single framework that also makes use of Keywords. * Codified [[Species]] into a single framework that also makes use of Keywords. * Nerfed Quark Plasma Exotic Particles so that they last less long, and also Break the device they are used on. * Added the [[devices#sunder_broken_and_repair|Broken]] status to devices in some circumstances. * Extended the [[Card Draw System]] to allow it to be used in Science and Engineering operations. * Consolidated Detectors, Analysers and Extractors into a single device - [[Scanners]], which can be used for all 3 purposes, integrating the [[Card Draw System]]. * Changes to Mods used on the new Scanners. * The REND and THROUGH Calls have been made more effective, so that both calls ignore any Field Hits that the target has. * [[game items#Shields]] with hard formers or bodies can now be used when appropriately modified for safety. * Minor changes and clarifications to the Elysian Psionic Powers Psionic Surgery and Rite of Recovery. ===== After Event 2 - Artefact ===== * The Reinforcement Pattern [[Mods#Armour|Armour Mod]] has been given a cooldown of 30 seconds. This was mostly to prevent characters with Charge Cost reduction having effectively infinite Armour Hits. * The "Psionic Ritual" tag has been added to certain [[elysian psionic paths|Elsyian]], [[Kelki psionic paths|Kelki]] and [[Lithos psionic paths|Lithos]] psionic powers. These are typically powers that required a certain period of roleplayed action to perform, and usually required the presence of a Referee. For.....reasons. * The Weave Solidifier [[Mods#Armour|Armour Mod]] has been altered to allow it to be added multiple times to a single suit of armour, increasing the activation duration by 15 seconds each time at no additional Charge Cost. * [[professional_skills#Reputation Skills]] for [[Galactic Energy Supplies]] and [[Advanced Armaments]] have been added. * The [[combat skills#Thrown Weapons Training]] skill has been added for people who want to use thrown weapons. ===== After Event 1 - Initialize ===== * The Secondary Ability of the [[Professional Skills#Helm Console]] skill has been reduced from +5 speed to +3 speed. * The Surgery ability of the [[Professional Skills#Physician]] skill has been overhauled and clarified. A full description of the new system can be found on the dedicated Surgery page. * The Deflection Generator [[Mods#Armour|Armour Mod]] has been edited so that it requires a 30 second cooldown after use. This makes its interaction with [[Quark Plasma]] only half as ludicrous.
