====== Betelgeuse Sector ======

**Faction Presence:** [[:Ascendancy]], [[:Free Union]]

**Stellar Density:** Moderate

The Betelgeuse Sector is at the core of the Ascendancy, and contains some of their earliest colonies. Although the densest, rimward portion of the sector is dominated by the Ascendancy's [[:Noble Houses]], the more sparse coreward segment is claimed by the Free Union, and a large portion of their military forces patrol the region to discourage hostility from the Ascendancy and [[:Dominion]], The Betelgeuse Sector bore the most brutal fighting of the [[:First Tulaki Invasion]], where the seemingly unstoppable armada of the Dominion was finally blunted in the Arda System.
