The Trappist Sector is the Ascendancy's beating heart. It contains its functional capital, the [[:system:Trappist-1]] system, and its true home, the [[:system:Sol]] system. This sector holds some of the very first Terran colonies, many of which are now well-developed hubs of politics, trade, agriculture or industry. The Trappist Sector contains a large amount of star systems and is well-travelled by a host of starships and regularly patrolled by the Ascendancy Navy.

Although the [[:system:Sol]] system is actually the origin point for the coordinate system used to locate sectors, it has been assigned to the Trappist Sector for the sake of convenience and consistency.
