Dirac Crystals are a rare crystalline mineral with extreme internal refractive properties. When incorporated into various energy field generators, they can provide a significant boost in power before degrading.

Dirac Crystals are a type of Exotic Reagent - an Exotic Substance related to Corporeal Science. A physrep of some kind of crystal can be used to represent measures of this substance, smaller crystals can represent one or two measures, while larger physrep samples can hold more.

A measure of Dirac Crystals can be applied to any one Energy Field device. Applying a measure of this substance will enhance the Energy Field's protective power - an energy field with active Dirac Crystals gains +1 Field Hit added to its maximum value. The enhancement provided by the crystals fades after 2 hours, as the energy emitted by the field causes them to degrade.

As with all Exotic Substances, a character with at least 1 rank in the relevant speciality (Corporeal Science in this case) can spend 1 minute of appropriate roleplaying to apply 1 measure of Dirac Crystals to an Energy Field. During or after this roleplaying, they should unpeel the sticker that represents this substance, stick it to the lammie of the Energy Field, and note the date and time on the sticker. After the 2-hour duration has elapsed, you should remove the sticker.
