====== OSLRP Digital Chapter 2 ======

All Chapter 2 scenarios occur in the “present” of the OSVerse, so you can play your existing character if you want. If you haven’t already, please read the [[OSLRP Digital Notes]] to get an idea of what to expect.

There are 4 available scenarios in Chapter 2, one for each Faction. Each one will run on a specific day, but there is some flexibility as to start time. 
  * To book, fill in the Expression of Interest form here.
    * You can sign up for multiple scenarios, but please indicate your order of preference on the form. You'll be given priority for whatever your first choice is, but we'll try and fit you into any other scenarios you sign up for if we can.
  * Once we have enough bookings for the session to become viable, we will send out a link for payment. All events cost £10 per player.
  * We will maintain a waiting list for each session in case of dropouts.
  * A few days before each event a more thorough brief will be sent out, along with an invitation to the Discord server.

===== Scenarios =====

In Chapter 2 there are 4 available scenarios, one for each Faction. As mentioned in [[OSLRP Digital Notes]], you do not need to be playing a member of the mission Faction to sign up for a scenario.

==== Free Union - A Sonorous Vortex ====
  * **Date: Saturday October 10th**
  * Time: around 6-9pm (Flexible with the agreement of the participants)
A mission from the FU Exobiology Corps to locate and protect a Space Whale spawning ground in the [[sector:America Sector|America Nebula]] during a critical period in the Space Whale life-cycle. The area thought to contain the spawning ground is frequented by outlaw hunting parties, who may turn hostile if their hunt is interrupted. The nebula in the region is especially dense, so specialised Science techniques may be required to locate the spawning grounds.

This scenario will contain probable space combat, various puzzles, as well as navigation through tightly packed nebulae. There may be some sudden sound effects. This scenario will require at least 1 player to have access to Google Docs. This scenario can accommodate up to 3 Drones, for a player count of 5-9.

==== Elysian Commonality - We Value Life ====

  * Time: around 6-9pm (Flexible with the agreement of the participants)
A mission to investigate the progress of a burgeoning spacefaring civilisation in the [[sector:Augustus Sector]]. A Commonality Monitoring station in the outskirts of the system has reported strange energy fluctuations in one of the system’s planets, and requested urgent assistance to investigate the phenomenon. Remaining hidden from the native civilisation will be critical to the mission’s success.

This scenario will contain stealthiness, probable space combat and Science! There may be some sudden sound effects. This scenario will require at least 1 player to have access to Google Docs. This scenario can accommodate up to 3 Drones, for a player count of 5-9.

==== Terran Ascendancy - The Strong Hand ====
  * **Date: Saturday October 23rd**
  * Time: around 6-9pm (Flexible with the agreement of the participants)
A first-strike mission in the [[sector:Vela Sector]] against a fortified Kenin Raider system in response to a number of recent raids on Ascendancy colonies in the area. The Kenin Raider Kingdoms are a minor power on the edge of the Libran Rift, about whom little is known. Intelligence reports have suggested a many of the raiding vessels are operating out of a single system - likely a hub for resupply and market for their stolen cargoes. Your ship will act as advance scout for a strike force of naval warships, assisted by House Pontez support vessels. Crush the Raiders there and deal a blow that the Kenin Kingdoms will take years to recover from.

This scenario will contain a lot of space combat and some puzzles. There may be some sudden sound effects. This scenario will require at least 1 player to have access to Google Docs. This scenario can accommodate up to 3 Drones, for a player count of 5-9.

==== Tulaki Dominion - A Harmonic Hymn ====
  * **Date: Sunday October 24th**
  * Time: around 6-9pm (Flexible with the agreement of the participants)
A mission to investigate a large star system in the [[sector:Tulaki Spur Sector]] and identify any planets or moons suitable for terraforming and colonization. The star has some spectral anomalies that suggest the presence of exotic features in its system, as well as a tendency to emit semi-regular microwave "pulses", these features may be useful to the ongoing development of the sector and should also be investigated.

This scenario will contain scientific investigation puzzles, some dangerous environmental challenges and probable space combat. This scenario will require at least 1 player to have access to Google Docs.

===== Starship Practice =====
If you haven't had any experience with the Starship Sims, or just want to brush up, each session will have the opportunity for a short practice run, demonstrating a few of the key interactions of the chosen stations. These are OOC practice sessions, primarily in space combat, and will be very straightforward with live feedback from the GM to get you quickly acclimatized. Practice sessions will occur in the hour or so before the main session, so leave time for that if you want to make use of this.
