Fusible Polymer

Fusible Polymers are thin films of metal-bearing carbon polymers which have remarkable resistance to damage and adhesive properties. When fused onto armour, fusible polymer films significantly enhance durability and resilience. The substance is, however, prone to oxidation due to the catalysing effects of the metal doping, so its benefits tend to be short-lived.

OOC Game Information

Fusible Polymer is a type of Exotic Reagent - an Exotic Substance related to Corporeal Science. A physrep of some kind of film, preferably dark in colour, can be used to represent measures of this substance. Something like acetate sheets or used photographic film would be ideal.

A measure of Fusible Polymer can be applied to any one suit of armour. Applying a measure of this substance will grant 1 additional Locational Armour Hit to that armour. The enhancement provided by this substance degrades at the end of the day that it is applied.

As with all Exotic Substances, a character with at least 1 rank in the relevant speciality (Corporeal Science in this case) can spend 1 minute of appropriate roleplaying to apply 1 measure of Fusible Polymer to a character's armour. During or after this roleplaying, they should unpeel the sticker that represents this substance, stick it to the lammie of the Armour, and note the date on the sticker. After the duration has expired at the end of the day, you should peel off the sticker from the armour lammie. If your armour is basic-issue armour and does not have a lammie, then you can stick the sticker straight onto the armour itself (ideally in a location where it is unlikely to come off on its own).
