Stellar Density: Medium to Very Sparse

The Sparse Sector is well-named, as it lies at the edge of the Orion Arm, where stellar density rapidly drops off into the Great Perseus Rift. Although a few surveying expeditions have ventured into this sector, it remains mostly uncharted and distant from the the Faction's centres of activity.

The leading wave of human sleeper ships from the ancient Sol System are making their way through this sector at the moment, so it is likely that fledgling colonies exist here, cut of from the rest of galactic civilisation and bearing cultural treasures from the dawn of human civilisation.
